SB 142 (Maldonado) - IHSS Authorized Tasks This bill would require the Department of Social Services (DSS) to devise a method to ensure that an IHSS provider receives a list of approved tasks before working for an IHSS consumer as well as a complete list of services that can be authorized under the IHSS program. Status: This bill was introduced in the Senate on February 11th as a bill that would require providers to include the actual times that they work on their timesheets. It was amended by its author, passed by the Senate on June 1st, and is currently being reviewed by the Assembly Appropriations Committee. Many of the provisions of this bill were passed as part of the revised state budget in late July. However, this bill requires that a complete list of services that can be authorized under the IHSS program is given to the provider as well.
